Rehabilitation options

Everyone’s body is different, and your recovery journey will be too. We’ll begin with an individual assessment to understand your needs, goals and any areas of concern. From there, we’ll create a tailored exercise programme designed specifically for you, with guidance and support at every stage.

Rehab

Improving movement patterns

Do you move in the way that best suits your body? Discover what it feels like to work with your body, rather than against it. By identifying and correcting inefficient movement patterns, we can help reduce unnecessary stress on your body’s structures, improve movement quality, and restore balance and efficiency. The result? Greater ease, improved performance, and the freedom to tap into your body’s full potential.

Rehab

Improving strength for life

Building and maintaining strength is essential at every stage of life. It helps support healthy joints, improve balance and posture, protect bone health, and make everyday activities easier and more enjoyable.

It’s important for all ages! As we get older, staying strong becomes even more important. With the right exercises and appropriate modifications, strength training can help maintain muscle mass, support bone density, reduce the risk of falls and fractures, and help protect against conditions such as osteoporosis.

Strength training can also benefit brain health, with research suggesting that maintaining muscle strength is associated with better cognitive health as we age.

Everyone is different, so your strength, fitness, abilities and individual needs will be assessed to ensure your exercises are safe, suitable and tailored to you.

Rehab

Improve your confidence

Our aim is to help you stay strong, confident and independent for longer!

As you become stronger, improve mobility and more capable, you can regain confidence in your body.  Whether that’s to feel more confident in a sport, or simply to feel safer moving around, and worry less about everyday activities. It’s about feeling empowered to stay active, independent and enjoy life to the fullest.

Rehabilitation FAQs

If you can't find the answers below, please don't hesitate to get in touch

Who are the sessions suitable for?

Private rehabilitation sessions offer personalised, one-to-one support to help you improve movement, rebuild strength, restore function and work towards your recovery goals. Our sessions are suitable for individuals who:

  • Are recovering from an injury or operation.
  • Want to improve strength, balance and mobility.
  • Are returning to physical activity or sport.
  • Experience difficulties with everyday movement.
  • Would benefit from individual guidance and support.
What happens during my first appointment?

Your first appointment is all about understanding you. We’ll discuss your health history, current concerns, lifestyle and what you would like to achieve.

We’ll then carry out an appropriate assessment and use this information to develop a rehabilitation plan tailored to your needs.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone’s recovery journey is different. The number of sessions will depend on your condition, goals and progress. Following your initial assessment, we’ll discuss a recommended approach with you.

Will rehabilitation be painful?

Rehabilitation should be progressive, manageable and appropriate for you. Some exercises may feel challenging, and mild muscle soreness can sometimes occur. However, you should always feel comfortable communicating any pain or concerns so we can adapt your programme accordingly.

What should I wear?

We recommend comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Exercises are usually done barefoot but bring your trainers along if you prefer. This can also be a good way to assess your footwear and ensure they are correct for you.

Can I have exercises to complete at home?

Yes! Where appropriate, we’ll provide exercises and guidance to help you continue working towards your goals between appointments. Consistency outside your sessions can play an important part in your progress.

Can I attend if I'm not recovering from an injury?

Of course. Rehabilitation isn’t just about recovering from injury. Sessions can also support improvements in strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, mobility and general physical function.
